“Music is the perfect expression what it means to be alive. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to witness the creative spirit take wings, to guide students of music in their discovery and realization of the powers that lie within them and which find expression spontaneously, uniquely and authentically.”
Kevin Kenner

Since accepting his first post as professor at the Royal College of Music in London from 1999-2011, Kevin Kenner has established himself as one of the world’s most sought-after teachers in piano performance.
He has taught masterclasses and workshops throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia, and has prepared numerous young talented pianists for illustrious careers. He served as guest professor at the Academy of Music in Łódź, Poland from 2015-2017, and worked as Artist-in-Residence at the Aichi University of the Arts in Japan in 2018.
Since 2015, he has been teaching piano at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music where he currently serves as Associate Professor.
In keeping to his commitment to the next generation of classical pianists, Mr. Kenner founded the Frost Chopin Academy & Festival in 2018, a week-long summer academy for talented students of piano wishing to enhance their skill in the music of Chopin, as well as a parallel festival of concerts offering top class performances to the residents of South Florida.

In addition to his pedagogical work, Mr. Kenner helps to promote the careers of promising pianists by serving on the juries of some of the most prestigious piano competitions such as the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, the Busoni International Piano Competition, and the Prague Spring Competition.
